PHOTOGRAPHY AND POEMS

NICE ONE, DYLAN

A Welshman in a poem I read

By trade a baker – Dai the Bread –

Had dual wives as I recall

But not in series – not at all.

One for the day (I’m sure I’m right);

The other came to him at night.

All well and good in younger years

But as an older man one fears

The sap flows slower with each spring

And if they’re thinking of “one thing”

It could take quite a toll of you

To try to satisfy the two.

Would it mean so much less fun

To cut the number down to one?
