Put Latin down on your CV –
You know some Latin, as we’ll see.
Curriculum is one such word
While vitae is less often heard.
Abbreviated, we’ve i.e.
(id est) and equally e.g.
BC, A.D. for in a date;
AM’s early, PM’s late.
And whole words, too, if we take stock:
Ad lib, ad nauseum, ad hoc
Agenda, too, and abacus
Not to mention coitus.
To pay back someone is, you know
A very simple quid pro quo.
Status, sic and also quorum –
Latin tags, how I adore ‘em.
